The secured creditor issues a written demand notice once the account is classified as an NPA.
Section 13(3A) Representation
The borrower may respond to the notice; the creditor must consider and reply within 15 days.
Section 13(4) Possession
If dues remain unpaid after 60 days, the creditor may take symbolic or physical possession of the secured asset.
Section 14 Magistrate Assistance
Where possession is resisted, the creditor applies to the District Magistrate or CMM for assistance.
